The Business Women’s Charitable Foundation (BWCF) is a non-profit organization.
Mission:
Our mission is to facilitate the efforts of individuals and organizations that benefit the health and wellness of women and children of the community. We accomplish this through fundraising and then disbursing the funds to organizations & individuals that apply to us for specific needs.
Who we are:
A few years ago, we found that an organization that provides tremendous services to displaced homemakers in our community was losing its funding from the county and cutbacks from its state funding also. Its continued existence was in jeopardy. We thought the loss of these services would be a great blow to the wellness of many families already suffering from the loss or disability of their breadwinner. A number of Women business owners together decided to form Business Women’s Charitable Foundation to raise funds initially to help this organization continue its existence. Since then we have expanded our fundraising and charitable giving to other organizations and also established a scholarship fund for individuals to obtain education to start their own business.
The initial founders & board of trustees are:
